If you have an error message such as "Access Denied" when opening a Google Drive assignment in Schoology, please try the following suggestions to fix it:
Method 1 - Turn off "Block third-party cookies" (Chrome Users)
Method 2 - Disable "SameSite by default cookies" (Chrome Users)
Method 3 - Reconnect your Google Drive
Method 1 - Turn off "Block third-party cookies" (Chrome Users)
Here's how to turn off "Block third-party cookies" in Chrome:
1. Enter this in your address bar:
chrome://settings/content/cookies
2. Turn off Block 3rd party cookies.
Or Here's another way to turn off "Block third-party cookies" in Chrome:
1. Settings (click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner)
2. Click Advanced
3. Click "Site Settings" in the list ( under the "Privacy and security" category)
4. Click Cookies
5. Then turn off "Block 3rd party cookies"
6. Log back into Schoology and click the assignment.
The assignment should now open and generate your own Google Doc copy.

Method 2 - Disable "SameSite by default cookies" (Chrome Users)
1. Do Method 1 first.
2. Go to chrome://flags/#same-site-by-default-cookies
3. Set "SameSite by default cookies" to "Disabled".
4. Log back into Schoology and click the assignment.
The assignment should now open and generate your own Google Doc copy.
Method 3 - Reconnect your Google Drive
Please try the steps below and see if that helps:
1. Click the link in the top right corner above the document.
2. Click Connect to log in to your Google Drive account.
This will launch a new window prompting you to log in with your Google Drive account.
3. Log out of Schoology
4. Log back into Schoology and click the assignment.
The assignment should now open and generate your own Google Doc copy.
