Why use Google Drive?

HKIS is a Google School in addition to being an Apple School.

One of the advantages of being a Google School is gaining access to unlimited storage on Google Drive.

Google Drive is a wonderful file sharing and file management platform, in addition to providing access to productivity apps like Docs, Sheets, Slides, and others. For each of these productivity apps, there are numerous extensions to make your work easier and more effective.

Google Drive has great integration between other Google products like Sites and Gmail, as well as interoperability with Office products, and files of all types.

You always have the most recent version of Google Docs, can access those files on any computer, can share those files with anyone, can search for those files with ease, and work on those files offline (by enabling offline access).

If you haven't already, try creating a Google Doc instead of a Word Document next time you start work on something. Then share that Google Doc with your collaborators, and edit that document in real time as a team, using editing or suggestion modes. Not only will your team members be able to access that document for use any time in the future, changes will be updated for everyone.

Start storing your documents on Google Drive rather than the school network drives. You gain the ability to access these files anywhere on any computer, as well as real-time collaboration.
