Ever wonder why Spotify always opens when you restart, even if you don't want it to?
It is a login item, items that open automatically when you log in.
Some apps, for example Google Drive, is best set to open automatically as it does beneficial syncing in the background.
Others, like Spotify, are often a nuisance. We have even noticed Spotify causing issues with school systems.
So lets keep it from opening every time you log in.
Use Spotlight, command+spacebar, to search for Users & Groups.
Once there, you will want to go to your Login Items. Select the items you don't want to open automatically, your list is probably longer than mine, and click the minus sign. Now Login should go faster and you want have all these applications automatically opening.
